iamaudio sells monthly subscriptions. This policy explains how cancellation works, why we don't prorate refunds by the day, and the narrow cases where we issue refunds.
1. Cancellation is one click; charges stop at cycle end
You may cancel a single creator slot or your entire listener subscription anytime from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle:
- You are not charged again on that slot or subscription.
- Your access continues until the cycle ends. The creator's $1.00 share for that cycle is paid out as normal.
Mid-cycle slots that have been canceled enter a 30-day creator notice period: the slot remains active through the end of the cycle so the creator's monthly income is predictable. We do not believe in dark-pattern retention, and we believe in giving creators a real month of notice.
2. We don't prorate
Slots are billed monthly, not by the day. If you cancel a slot on day 28 of your billing cycle, you keep access for the remaining days at no extra cost; we do not issue a partial refund. This keeps creator income predictable and keeps the math honest.
3. Cases where we do refund
We issue refunds in the following cases:
- Unauthorized charge — a charge made on your card without your authorization. Email us; we will reverse the charge and investigate.
- Billing error — duplicate charge, charge after confirmed cancellation, or charge in the wrong amount.
- Material service failure — extended platform outage that materially prevented you from using the slot you paid for during the cycle.
- Creator removal — if a creator you support is removed from the Platform mid-cycle for a safety violation, your slot for that creator is refunded prorata for the remaining cycle days.
4. How to request a refund
Email hello@iamaudio.blog from the address on your account with a short description and the approximate date of the charge. We aim to respond within 5 business days. Eligible refunds are returned to the original payment method via Stripe.
5. Chargebacks
If you initiate a chargeback through your bank before contacting us, we may suspend the affected account while the dispute is open. Almost every dispute is resolved faster (and without bank fees) if you email us first.
6. Creator side
Creator subscriptions ($5.56/month) follow the same end-of-cycle cancellation rule. Creators retain access to their content and analytics through the cycle they have paid for. Pending payouts from listener slots are not affected by a Creator cancellation — the next monthly Stripe Connect payout is processed normally.
